Tahoe Valley Campground
Own or manage this property? The lodge had a decent store but the lounge areas were severely lacking for such a large campground. We were in a pull through site. Quiet and peaceful, very clean.
- It's run by the city, so not a private park, but covered in large pine trees, so it feels like a bit of nature.
- Dryers are not very efficient.
- Bears are a nuisance and get into garbage nightly.

RV Campgrounds Lake Tahoe
We stayed here as Thousand Trails members with the Trails Collection. If the price was not so high and they did not charge for all the extras I would have given this a slightly better rating. Sites are dirt, fairly level. Features subject to change. You will need a carpet if you want to sit outside.
Cement Picnic tables were awful. Very popular in the summer. Your neighbors will have much to do with your experience, we were lucky.
However, there seems to be some kind of construction going on at the property next door and there was a loud generator running the whole first night. Widgets and Badges for use on your Park website. Nice campground, great location. Tallic Hisprical Site very nice. This large park is called a resort, but it isn't what I would call a resort.

The bathrooms are pretty basic and small but clean. The only good thing about this park is location. Free wi-fi is limited to one hour a day. No phone reception to boot.

Some have water and electric, some are primitive. Airport just behind campground, lots of helicopter and plane noise. The rate advertised is not what we paid because of the extra charges. Ovet the air reception was ok and cable as well but mostly basic channels. You are pretty much on your own.
If you can see the map, pick whatever meets your needs. Our original site was but with all the trees there was no way we could open our slides. The campground is clean and the restrooms and showers are too. Some sites have fire rings, consolidating music in itunes other sites have grills.
We also noted bear activity in the area. Restrooms and showers are neat and clean with plenty of hot water. Don't come if you expect the Hyatt Regency. St Theresa Catholic Church. This is bear country but we didn't see or hear of any while we were there.
There is a camp store, however, it was closed for the entire time we were there, which was annoying. Airport is used for military high-altitude training at times with heavy helicopter traffic. The lake, parks and shopping are all excellent.
Campground By The Lake
Hookups are conveniently placed towards the back of the site. Mid week the park is very quiet. The spaces are average size. Helpful Tools Access the Help Center.
Too bad it's so user unfriendly and expensive. Thousand Trails Snowflower Resort. If you love the sun as much as we do then site is the one for you. Nice people, and festive for the season. The casinos probably wouldn't care if you parked and opened up your awning and chairs, ncaa for free.
The site was either a back-in or pull-through and after driving to it decided to go around the park and pull-in. Some sites have fire pits, and others don't. Are you affiliated with Tahoe Valley Campground?

This is an old camp with small sites, very uneven, poor Wi-Fi at best, not big rig friendly in a pretty wooded setting by a stream. Some are very hard to back into because of the large pine trees. My only complaint is the fire pits are kind of in a weird spot and with some of the camp sites the fire pit is awfully close to your neighbor. We stayed here the weekend before Christmas. We had an amazing time, enjoyed the people, and the environment.
The sites are level-ish with good power and water. There is a nice city park nearby with all kinds of facilities eg a bike park. Would definitely camp here again! He said Thousand Trails is known for its concerts and parties and folks really like it.
